Zoe Blog Hop

Hi! I'm Kara, of Creating with Kara Davies.
I'm an Aussie ctmh consultant and I'm so excited to be sharing my Zoe creations! This is my first ever blog hop. If you've arrived here from Stamping Rules! with Wendy, you're on the right track!
My studio is all about Zoe this month and I absolutely LOVE this new collection. I knew I had to be one of the first to play with it! My parcel arrived and I did a seriously dorky happy dance at the post office. (No shame here when it comes to new goodies folks, NO shame!) I got to my studio and dove right in to see just how many pieces I could make from one paper packet. So far, I've got several pages and a handful of cards with plenty more scraps to use!

This layout is one of my favorite designs. I knew I had to pair it with Zoe and my coffee cup stamp! If you've been to my studio for any reason, you know I've got coffee around.
Oh coffee, I like you a latte!
While you can take this lady away from the magical land of Starbucks, you can't take the Starbucks away from this lady!
I stamped this cup image using Slate ink several times onto scraps of cardstock. I fussy cut the cup and used it as my base. I then fussy cut the cup band and the lid pieces and stuck everything down. I decided to color in the bean with a brown pen. It needed something else so I trimmed a piece of zipstrip and shimmer trim to make the banners.

I decided to try my hand at this layout from SG. I used some pictures of my nephew to fill it up. He's adorable! I don't have permission from his parents to share him on here so the only way to see this finished layout is to come to my studio. ;) Now after 4 pages, I've used all the White Daisy cardstock in the packet so I added some from a bulk pack to continue on.

This simple layout adds in 2 sheets of Kraft cardstock plus the Reflections book. I quite like the earthy feel the Kraft lends to these pages. Part of the fun of scrapbooking is you don't have to exactly follow the color palette as given. Zoe uses Slate and I happened to use Kraft instead. And you know what? It works! Shhhhhhh. Don't tell anyone but they're actually a test run for an upcoming workshop!

I'm super impressed that I've still got a bag full of scraps to use. Time to get some cards made! I'm always looking for new designs.
This Christmas card is inspired by a design from Wishes. I changed it up a bit and put things on an angle.
I couldn't go past using the August SoTM with Zoe to make this Christmas card. I've had a request for "non winter Christmas cards" from a customer. I think she'll be pleased with this design!

I hope you enjoyed my take on Zoe. I've had so much fun creating for this hop.

I would love it if you'd leave a comment below before you hop to the next stop on this Zoe Blog Hop. Up next is For the love of all things crafty with the lovely Emily!
