The Long Way Home Blog Hop

It's June! Time for another blog hop. ;) Welcome to the June stamp of the month hop!
If you've arrived here from Tanya's Happy Papercrafting you're in the right place. This is a circular hop so follow along and be inspired!

When I saw this stampset in Seasonal Expressions 2, I had to have it. I have HEAPS of travel photos I'm currently working on and this is PERFECT!
I traveled to Seattle and Minnesota in April to surprise my Gramma for her 90th birthday party. Mom and I visited MANY a Starbucks along the way. Girls only road trip = lots of caffeine! I used the SoTM to create these five PML cards for my layout.

I started by cutting one 12x12 sheet of White Daisy cardstock down to 3x4 and 4x6 cards using my trimmer. After rounding the corners, I went to town stamping the various images in a ton of inks! I used other stamps in my stash to accent this stamp of the month.

This card doesn't use the stamp of the month. It uses heaps of stamps from my stash and complements the rest of the layout perfectly. :) Mix your stampsets! I mixed a team building set with a snowflake and etched alphabet to create this one.

I had two empty spaces on this layout and decided to fill both with my own cards. I stamped the car in slate and the exhaust in black on one card before stamping scenic route in sapphire on both cards.
I simply stuck both cards together and stamped at once, then rounded the edges. Pretty easy huh?
I stamped the coffee cup with archival black ink before coloring it in with watercolor pencils. I waterbrushed it until I was happy with the color before fussy cutting.
I colored and brushed yellow and green on my card before stamping the rest. When dry, I stuck the cup down.

For this page I decided to stamp only, no watercoloring or waterbrushing. "Minnesota in April is an ugly time of year" says my mom. It's gray and icky and quite bland. This page needs color!
I mixed an older stampset (Year Noted) with Long Way Home to create both cards. For this one, I stamped the fuel pump in topiary and fussy cut before sticking on top of my stamped purple van. The dotted lines added just the right touch to make journaling easy.

I used a bunch of inks to create my last card for this layout. This card screamed out for some color! I stamped the title first, then the <3 it here (the red heart is stamped and fussy cut), before adding the banner and lines. Pretty simple and didn't take very long to do = two thumbs up in my book.

There you have it, some stamped 3x4 and 4x6 cards that perfectly accent and enhance my pages. Give it a go and try creating your own title/journaling cards!
