Love

I learned a new card technique earlier this afternoon and I LOVE IT!

It's called the drapery fold or pleated fold. I made 3 using the same idea and my offcuts.

First up, my initial try.
Nice and simple with a bit of stamping. First cards are often like the first pikelet of a batch... They never turn out quite right.

Next, I tried a mini version using the offcut from my first go.
I cut watercolor paper to size and rounded the edges before coloring my stamped girl with watercolor pencils and waterbrushes. It's quite sweet!

Lastly, my favorite version! A floral pleat with a sweet yet sassy ribon bow plus bling? Yes please!
I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve how this blue Whimsy ribbon perfectly blends with this retired Happy Times paper and the new True Love stampset. It really looks elegant and classy up close.
