Craft Queen Retreat 2023

A few snippets of retreat last weekend.

Friday started with loading the car, driving, unloading the car, setting up the dorms, racing back to the crafting room, altering the table layout, assigning tables, setting up the shop area, and dinner.
After dinner and a shower, it was time for the traditional first night welcome project.
Check out this cute name tag we made!
Later I taught how to make this one sheet wonder layout.
Bed time!

Saturday started with sleeping until 15 minutes before brekkie. Oops. After demolishing a tasty big brekkie, I went off to get ready. I came back to a table full of goodies and the chocolate fairy had visited.
One of my customers and I were twinsies in our "I'm Procraftinating" shirts.
I taught this coffee cup card and it was a Big Hit.
Honestly, how cute is this!?
The inside says "There's nothing I wouldn't brew for you". (Except decaf, toss that out!)
Later in the afternoon I taught the Starter Card Kit as a class. I showed how to easily add some oomph to these precut kits, with simple tools you'd already have in your stash.
After I taught this class, I dove headlong into my Quarterly Club Winter layout samples.

Sunday I finished up my Quarterly Club Winter layouts after breakfast. I'm stoked with how they turned out!
Before lunch I worked on my 40th birthday party layout title. Come back tomorrow to see how I did it!
After lunch I raced down to the craft room to photograph my Quarterly Club layouts while blaring some Metallica on my laptop. After that, it was time to pack it all up, pack up my shop corner, load up the cars, and head home.

We've finished with this particular retreat venue. The change in management has made it nearly impossible to enjoy time there (from an organizers point of view) which is very sad. We had a good run there for many many years and our last 3 events have been nothing but hassle. Off to go find another venue... watch this space.
