Cedar & Pine - CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

lf you arrived here from Lauren's CTMH Craftings, keep reading for heaps of inspiration and project ideas!

This hop features the Cedar & Pine paper collection from our Nov/Dec Catalog.

Cedar & Pine is my favorite Christmas collection for 2019. The big bold blooms, the color palette, and the nice mix of paper designs caught my eye and hasn't let go!

The featured colors in this collection are Evergreen, Candy Apple, Peach, Mint, Saffron, French Vanilla, Linen, Black, White Daisy.

The cardstock packet is sheets of French Vanilla, Linen, Peach, Saffron, Candy Apple, and Evergreen. What a yummy mix of colors to use!
I made a TON of pages and cards using Cedar & Pine paper and cardstocks. This is one of my layout kits I came up with. Nice and easy and with a bit of sparkle.

After I did my layout kits, I dove in headlong to creating card kits with my scraps. I don't have the current nutcracker stamp & thin cuts so I dug in my stash for this one.

I borrowed the lace border and stitched circle thin cuts from another consultant for a different project when inspiration struck. This is the result.

I had a pile of zipstrips leftover and made this one.

To make these projects, I used my basic toolkit plus these materials. Click through or contact your consultant to purchase. Basic Toolkit: (Versamat, Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Adhesive Runner, Foam Dots, Pen, Stamping Starter Kit), Cedar & Pine Paper Packet and Cardstock, White Card Value Pack, White Daisy New England Ivy and Kraft Exclusive Cardstocks, Silver Glitter Paper, Lace Border Basic Circles Stitched Circles and Be Merry* Thin Cuts, Liquid Glass and Fine Tip Applicator, Clear Sparkles, Cream Ribbon* and Green Enamel Triangles*, Candy Apple New England Ivy and Espresso Exclusive Inks, Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 3 and Volume 4, S1405 You've Got A Friend* D1557 Candyland* B1455 Be Jolly* and Angel Policy stampsets. *Retired/discounted/WSL items

Craft On CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

If you arrived here from Megan, welcome! Read on and hop around for heaps of inspiration.

This hop centers on our very last paper collection from Seasonal Expressions 2: Craft On. This is my favorite collection from 2019 so far!

When I saw this packet, I was immediately drawn to it. I'm not a blue fan (QUEENSLANDER!) and yet this packet was calling my name. I decided to use this stitched striped paper to do a monogram for my home.

I used the immense pile of cardstock scraps from my Scrap Box to cut all of these flowers and leaves. I picked whatever colors looked good on the day, not necessarily the coordinating cardstock colors as listed on the paper's zipstrip! 😉

After lots and lots and lots of liquid glass and foam dots, I had my completed piece of home decor. It's housed in a $10 white shadow box frame from Kmart. The picture is of my husband and I at the very end of our first date. We knew at the end of this date that we weren't looking any more, we'd found each other at last. (All together now... 💖Awwwww!💖)

I had plenty of leftover flowers to use, so I created more things!

These cards are the same design with a couple of simple changes. Gotta love our versatile papers and stamps!

I had still more paper leftover so I created some layouts, including this one.

After a search on pinterest for new card ideas, I saw a different one and replicated it with scraps of Craft On.

To make these projects, I used my basic toolkit plus these materials. Click through or contact your consultant to purchase. Basic Toolkit: (Versamat, Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Adhesive Runner, Foam Dots, Stamping Starter Kit), White Card Value Pack, Craft On Paper Packet, Exclusive Cardstocks, Angel Policy Stampset, Liquid Glass, Exclusive Inks, MIFYH v3, and Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts. *Retired/discounted/WSL items

Bear Hugs CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

If you arrived here from Dannii, welcome! Read on and hop around for heaps of inspiration.

This hop centers on our adorable cheeky new stamp of the month called Bear Hugs (S1907).

There's 17 different bits in this stampset that you can mix and match to create heaps of cards and layouts. Here's what I've made!

The doily thin cut provided just enough oomph to this card as an accent behind the bear. The bear was also a pretty easy fussy cut!

To make this project, I used my basic toolkit plus these materials. Click through or contact your consultant to purchase. Basic Toolkit: (Versamat, Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Adhesive Runner, Foam Dots, Stamping Starter Kit), White Card Value Pack, Into the Wild Paper Packet, Sapphire Kraft and White Daisy Cardstocks, LePen, S1907 Bear Hugs - July SoTM and Angel Policy Stampsets, 5" x 6" My Acrylix® Block, New England Ivy and Espresso Exclusive Inks, and Doily Thin Cut. *Retired/discounted/WSL items

It's Your Day to Sparkle CTMH Blog Hop

If you arrived here from Doris, welcome! Read on and hop around for heaps of inspiration.

This hop centers on our BEAUTIFUL new stamp of the month called It's Your Day to Sparkle (S1906). Look at all these different options!!!

S1906 It's Your Day to Sparkle
I got seriously shimmery while making this card! Thank you to Lyn Edwards for the gorgeous project. Each layer of the cake, cake plate, and flowers has been colored with a shimmer brush and ink pad. It started out as a "naked chocolate cake with vanilla icing and raspberry coulis" and turned into a "black forest torte"! 😂

Click to embiggen and really see the painted colors.
This cake stamp is quite large and requires our big 5"x6" block. (I used our previous 4"x5" block.) I stamped the cake and flower cluster in Stazon ink on White Daisy and let it dry. Once it was dry, out came all the shimmer brushes and inks! I'll show the brush and ink combinations down below.

To color with ink and shimmer brush, squeeze your inkpad into your lid several times. Open it up and use your shimmer brush to collect some of the lid ink and paint it onto your stamped cardstock. Note: this only works with waterbased dye inks.

As you need more ink, collect more from the lid and continue painting. When you are finished with that ink color, scribble off on some scratch paper until you see only the shimmer brush color. Squish your next ink into lid and keep going until your image is fully colored to your liking. Set aside to dry.

The chocolate cake layers are colored with Toffee ink and Gold shimmer brush.

Vanilla layers are Clear shimmer brush without ink.

Raspberry coulis layers and flowers are Pomegranate ink and Sugarplum shimmer brush.

Leaves are New England Ivy ink and Mint shimmer brush.

Cake plate is Bashful shimmer brush without ink, and cake stand is Gold shimmer brush without ink.

SO.
MUCH.
SHIMMER.

(My upline/mother-in-law has already stated several times that I'm to stash this one away for her birthday next year! "Ha!" is my response!)

Carefully cut around the cake and flower, attach to card as desired.

To make this project, I used my basic toolkit plus these materials. Click through or contact your consultant to purchase. Basic Toolkit: (Versamat, Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Adhesive Runner, Foam Dots, Stamping Starter Kit), White Card Value Pack, Lilac and White Daisy Cardstocks, LePen, S1906 June SoTM and Angel Policy Stampsets, 5" x 6" My Acrylix® Block, Pomegranate New England Ivy and Toffee Exclusive Inks, Bashful* Sugarplum Mint Clear and Gold Shimmer Brushes, Black StazOn™ Ink, and Stitched Rectangles Thin Cuts. *Retired/discounted/WSL items

C'mon, florals, woodgrain, checks/plaids, and dots? What's not to love?!
At our recent Australasia Convention in Brisbane, we had a creative session using the Sweet Girl collection plus coordinating stampsets. I used my leftover pieces to create these cards and layouts.

This is one of the creative session layouts. I've embellished it how I liked.

This is the last one I made from the scraps. I've no idea what I'll use it for yet!
