Found Object Challenge

It's time for a Found Object Challenge!

Rummage through your crafting stash, find the following objects, and make a card.

• Use an Operation Smile stamp set
• Scalloped edge
• Something purple
• Tone on tone stamping

This is what I came up with!

I used some purple cardstock and ink from my stash, stamped the lighter side with purple ink and the large floral cluster Operation Smile stampset image, added some ribbon and confetti flowers, and stuck it all together in less than 15 minutes. w00tw00t!

Spreading the CTMH love and Operation Smile in my town today.

My snazzy red v-neck says Make Someone Smile and it raises funds for Operation Smile.

Operation Smile™ is an organization that provides free, life-changing surgery that repairs smiles and reshapes lives, one child at a time. Since 2008, Close To My Heart has provided support to change the lives of over 1,500 children and their families.

You can spread the love in your own Operation Smile shirt! $10 from the sale of each shirt goes straight to help change a child's life. Operation Smile

I blogged earlier that I was hosting a fundraiser day for Operation Smile. If you hadn't heard, here's the nitty gritty details.

You're probably wondering what these card kits look like. Well, wonder no more! Here's 5 of the gorgeous different options I've prepared for this special day! There's something for everyone.

A bit of new Sea Glass Glitter Paper spices up this retired Cut Above card kit.

Some stamping and water brushing elevates this retired Charlotte paper card kit.

This one is delightfully simple, perfect for any rev head!

Recently had professional photos taken? Surprise your photographer with this lovely card. Inside is simply stamped "You've captured my heart."

Know of any little ladies who have a birthday coming up? Create this stunning princess castle card!

All of these kits have been precut and ready to for you to assemble after a few bits of stamping. Most take mere minutes to finish! If you've never ever made a card before in your life, you can do this. You need only to bring your scissors and adhesive to fully take part in the day. Surely you have scissors and adhesive lying around the house, raid your children's school supplies if need be! (I won't tell!) ;)

This is a super fun and bound to be a lil bit rambunctious day in my studio.

Operation Smile Fundraiser

My studio is overflowing with limited edition card buffet kits. In order to clear out my studio and make way for new card kits, I'm holding a fundraiser for Operation Smile!

Close To My Heart is partnered with Operation Smile™, an organization that provides free, life-changing surgery that repairs smiles and reshapes lives, one child at a time. Since 2008, Close To My Heart has provided support to change the lives of over 1,500 children and their families. Your support of Close To My Heart makes a big difference in the life of a child.

Come along and make a pile of cards while supporting this special charity. This is the last time these designs will be available! This is how the day will work. Everyone makes 5 cards, which is included in the $20 workshop fee, then we'll break for lunch. After lunch, you can create additional cards for $2 each, with $1 being donated. You can make as many additional cards as you like! Now is the time to stock up and replenish your greeting card stash before the silly season starts in earnest.

It takes $300AUD to change a child's life with life saving surgery. At the end of the day, I'll tally up how many cards were made and annouce the total donation amount. You can further the donation amount by purchasing the beautiful True Love - Operation Smile stampset ($7 donation) or an Operation Smile tshirt ($10 donation).

Want to support this cause but can't attend on the day? You can still contribute to the donation tally. Pop over to my shop and purchase the stampset or tshirt in addition to your favorite crafting goodies. Or you can make a donation straight on my website when you check out. The choice is yours! Every little bit helps change a child's life.
