Card Kit Club

Love cardmaking? Can't attend my cardmaking workshops? No worries, I've got you covered.

Introducing my new Card Kit Club!

Each month you'll receive 5 different card kits in an assortment of themes, occasions, and styles. Each kit has been cut, stamped, embossed, and die cut for your convenience. All you have to do is stick it together! No muss, no fuss, simply quick easy satisfying crafting.

To participate in this club, payment is required no later than 7pm on the 5th of the month. You can pay for your kits via direct deposit or by Visa/MasterCard/American Express. Credit card payments incur a 2.2% processing fee.  Kits will be posted on the 6th of the month. The assembly instructions will be emailed along with your receipt so you can create at your leisure.

You'll need a few basic crafting materials to complete your cards: adhesives (tape runner or glue pen), scissors, and a pen. These can be ordered from my shop and shipped straight to your door.

Tea-rrific Blog Hop

S1703 Tea-rrific is the stamp of the month and it's all about tea cups!

Isn't it cute!? I've been looking for a cup stamp and when I saw this I just had to have it!

I dug around in my paper stash and found some scraps to create this card. I used some old Fundamentals paper plus cardstock, embossed it, and rounded the edges before attaching to my card front. I stamped the tea cup on a scrap of white daisy cardstock then added the flower before coloring quickly with some pens I had on hand. There's some shimmer brushing on the cup too if you look closely!

Since I used a blue card base, I decided to add some white inside and stamp it. I love the little tea bag and string!

Hello Lovely Blog Hop

This month's featured paper collection is Hello Lovely. It's a beautiful mix of florals, soft patterns, and an overall lovely "art deco" feel.

I recently had a long weekend away at Scrapbook Camp where my goal was to restock my card buffet with new kits. I had a pile of gold glitter hearts to use and I was determined to use them all! I did 8 new card designs over the weekend with 5 of them using Hello Lovely. These are a few of the card kits I came up with!

I added some gold glitter paper and a retired stamp to create this birthday card.

This love you card can be use for a bunch of different occasions. Birthdays, Valentine's Day, just because, or to cheer someone up on a downer of a day. A bit of doubled thin cuts and embossing lifts this design from meh to WOW. You might be wondering where the Hello Lovely paper is on this card. It's the subtle gray paper under the love thin cuts! You could also use a bolder pattern in place of the embossed heart strip.

I combined old and new stampsets to create this card. The bubbles are colored in with the clear shimmer brush. I can't wait to see the faces of people as they make this. It's stunning!

The last card I have is this simple friendship card. It came together pretty quickly!

Operation Smile Fundraiser

My studio is overflowing with limited edition card buffet kits. In order to clear out my studio and make way for new card kits, I'm holding a fundraiser for Operation Smile!

Close To My Heart is partnered with Operation Smile™, an organization that provides free, life-changing surgery that repairs smiles and reshapes lives, one child at a time. Since 2008, Close To My Heart has provided support to change the lives of over 1,500 children and their families. Your support of Close To My Heart makes a big difference in the life of a child.

Come along and make a pile of cards while supporting this special charity. This is the last time these designs will be available! This is how the day will work. Everyone makes 5 cards, which is included in the $20 workshop fee, then we'll break for lunch. After lunch, you can create additional cards for $2 each, with $1 being donated. You can make as many additional cards as you like! Now is the time to stock up and replenish your greeting card stash before the silly season starts in earnest.

It takes $300AUD to change a child's life with life saving surgery. At the end of the day, I'll tally up how many cards were made and annouce the total donation amount. You can further the donation amount by purchasing the beautiful True Love - Operation Smile stampset ($7 donation) or an Operation Smile tshirt ($10 donation).

Want to support this cause but can't attend on the day? You can still contribute to the donation tally. Pop over to my shop and purchase the stampset or tshirt in addition to your favorite crafting goodies. Or you can make a donation straight on my website when you check out. The choice is yours! Every little bit helps change a child's life.

Card Buffets - Make up to 5 different cards in 2 hours, complete with nibblies. All card kits are pre cut and bagged for your convenience. You simply stamp and assemble following the sample card and instructions.

Cardmaking - make 10 cards from a set kit, some kit products you keep, some are communal use and stay in my studio.

Christmas Countdown- New Card Design

It's mid November and you know what that means? Christmas is nearly upon us. And THAT means it's time to get your Christmas cards sorted!

One of my lovely sister consultants Lyn Edwards of Lyn's Crafty Cards, made this pretty card for a team challenge. I liked it and decided to replicate it somehow. I don't have the frond stampset so I improvised with stamps I did have.
