Sketch 325 AHSC

I liked this sketch. I liked it so much I made multiple versions!

Exhibit a. I forgot how much this folder shrinks paper vertically.

Exhibit b. I stamped the white piece before embossing it and assembling. Check out the "potting mix" pieces!

Exhibit c. I decided to try stamping a version I had in my head.

To make these cards, I used my basic toolkit plus a variety of materials.

Feels Like Home CTMH Blog Hop

If you arrived here from Maz, welcome! Read on and hop around for heaps of inspiration.

This month we are featuring the last paper packet from Seasonal Expressions 1: Feels Like Home. This combination of colors and patterns is one of my favorite packs ever released. What's not to love about Black, Charcoal, Mink, Sugarplum, Fern, New England Ivy, and Sapphire?
I've continued my cardmaking spree with these two. The top one is for a lady at church and the bottom for a workmate of my husband.
This is such a simple card with layers of subsequently smaller rectangles.

To make these cards, I used my basic toolkit plus these materials. Click through or contact your consultant to purchase. Basic Toolkit: (Versamat, Trimmer, Scissors, Ruler, Adhesive Runner, Glue Pen, Stamping Starter Kit), White Card Value Pack, Feels Like Home Paper Packet and Coordinating Cardstocks, Holiday Expressions Mix In Papers*, Sapphire Bashful* Kraft and White Daisy Cardstocks, Sugarplum Glitter Paper, Gold Glitter Gems, LePen, Card Captions* and Angel Policy Stampsets, Sapphire Exclusive Ink, Thanks* Block Alphabet and Decorative Borders Thin Cuts, and Rose Embossing Folder*. *Retired/discounted/WSL items

I Heart Us CTMH Blog Hop

If you arrived here from Lauren, welcome to the I Heart Us blog hop! Read on and hop around for heaps of inspiration.

I started out with a single sheet of I Heart Us bulk paper. One side is the stripes, the other is the black and white hearts. I took the pile of cardstock that is sitting here in my studio and picked through to match up the colors in the stripes for these cards. Stashbusting ftw. Work with what you've got!

For some reason, I have heaps of Bashful cardstock left on hand... so I went with it.

I feel like kraft cardstock is soooooooooo under-utilized. I like how it adds an instant warmth and texture to my projects. Plus, in the absence of proper coordinating colors, kraft works just as well to provide the necessary accent.

The hearts on this card come from the Let Me Show You How stampset featured in the New Consultant Kit. I don't use this set nearly as much as I could. Expect to see more of it! 😊

I've been a bit busy trying new card ideas here in my studio.
I think this sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch is one of my favorites!

I came up with two versions. One uses stamping and glitter gems, the other uses stamping and embossing folders.

Tea-rrific Blog Hop

March is tea-rrific! Welcome to the Tea-rrific Blog Hop!
If you've arrived here from Vandra’s Virtual CTMH Craftroom no worries, you're in the right place. If you landed here from somewhere else, welcome! Read on and follow the hop for heaps of inspiration!

S1703 Tea-rrific is the stamp of the month and it's all about tea cups!
Isn't it cute!? I've been looking for a cup stamp and when I saw this I just had to have it!

I dug around in my paper stash and found some scraps to create this card. I used some old Fundamentals paper plus cardstock, embossed it, and rounded the edges before attaching to my card front. I stamped the tea cup on a scrap of white daisy cardstock then added the flower before coloring quickly with some pens I had on hand. There's some shimmer brushing on the cup too if you look closely!

Since I used a blue card base, I decided to add some white inside and stamp it. I love the little tea bag and string!

To make this card, you'll need the following materials. Click through the links to purchase or contact your consultant. Products used: LagoonPeacock White Daisy and Eggplant Cardstocks, Damask Embossing Folder, White & Gold Ribbon, My Acrylix® Block Starter Kit, Black and Eggplant Exclusive Inks™, Clear and Gold Shimmer Brushes, March 2017: Tea-rrific Stamp of the Month, Corner Rounder, Trimmer, Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors, Versamat™, Bone Folder, Spritz, Scrubber, 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive.

I'd love it if you'd leave a comment before hopping along to the fabulous Lauren Moore's CTMH Craftings! Share the love and pin my project!

Hello Lovely Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hello Lovely blog hop!
If you landed here from Vandra’s Virtual CTMH Craftroom no worries, you're in the right place. If you landed here from somewhere else, welcome! Read on and follow the hop for heaps of inspiration!

This month's featured paper collection is Hello Lovely. It's a beautiful mix of florals, soft patterns, and an overall lovely "art deco" feel.
I recently had a long weekend away at Scrapbook Camp where my goal was to restock my card buffet with new kits. I had a pile of gold glitter hearts to use and I was determined to use them all! I did 8 new card designs over the weekend with 5 of them using Hello Lovely. These are a few of the card kits I came up with!

I added some gold glitter paper and a retired stamp to create this birthday card.

This love you card can be use for a bunch of different occasions. Birthdays, Valentine's Day, just because, or to cheer someone up on a downer of a day. A bit of doubled thin cuts and embossing lifts this design from meh to WOW. You might be wondering where the Hello Lovely paper is on this card. It's the subtle gray paper under the love thin cuts! You could also use a bolder pattern in place of the embossed heart strip.

I combined old and new stampsets to create this card. The bubbles are colored in with the clear shimmer brush. I can't wait to see the faces of people as they make this. It's stunning!

The last card I have is this simple friendship card. It came together pretty quickly!

To make these projects, you'll need the following materials. Click through the links to purchase or contact your consultant. Products used: Hello Lovely Paper PacketHello Lovely Coordinating Cardstock White Daisy and Chocolate Cardstocks, Gold Glitter Paper, Gold Glitter Gems, Clear Sparkles, White Card Value Pack, My Acrylix® Block Starter Kit, Black Slate Chocolate Sorbet Fern and Sea Glass Exclusive Inks™, Heart Thin CutsHello Lovely Cardmaking Thin Cuts Bundle, Shimmer Brush, Hearts Embossing Folder, Dreamin' Big—Cardmaking Stampset, Make It from Your Heart™ Volume 1 and 2, Trimmer, Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors, Versamat™, Bone Folder, Spritz, Scrubber, 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive.
