White Pines Blog Hop

Welcome to the White Pines Australasian Blog Hop! If you've arrived here from Shaunna Richard's Passionate About Pages, you're in the right spot!

I've been having quite a bit of fun with White Pines lately! I've made heaps of items from ONE White Pines paper packet. These are some of my favorites!

As Christmas 2015 hasn't happened yet, these 2 layouts are blank. I like having pages done early so all I have to do after Christmas is edit my photos, print, trim, stick them down and add some journaling. I really like the variation in colors that this packet offers. I added in some sheets of Kraft cardstock to balance things out.

With the scraps left from my layouts, I made this Advent Calendar! I'll soon be hanging this up in my living room.

Like most adults, I'm a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG fan of the magical yummy sanity sustaining beverage called COFFEE. I have a favorite reusable tumbler and I like to change up the inside liner periodically. For Christmas, I made this one using Kraft cardstock, a 3"x4" White Pines PML card, a scrap of fussy cut paper, and an array of stickers.
When done, I simply popped the new paper liner inside my cup, screwed it all together and poof!
No more getting my name or drink wrong! :D

Lastly, I've made this pretty little card. I kept the design simple by matching the Glacier ink to the Glacier paper strip, and accented with clusters of embellishments. It's enough dimension to be visually appealing and tactile, while still being flat enough to go in a regular envelope. (Because, postage.)

That wraps it up for White Pines here in my studio. Before you hop around the block, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!

I used the following products to make these projects. Sangria Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sangria blog hop!
If you've landed here from Shaunna's blog you're on the right track.

My project for this hop is this stunning advent calendar.

If you open up your copy of Annual Inspirations 2015/2016 to the Sangria section, you'll see that this calendar is an extended version of that gorgeous quilt block page.
If you have a copy of the Reflections how to book, you can easily duplicate this project with just a few more squares, some stamping, fussy cutting, and some embellishing!

Not only does this use up lots of scraps, it's also a great project for using with our red magnetic display frame! Simply pop it in the frame and use a base&bling pendant (glue a magnet to the back using liquid glass) to mark the days leading to Christmas!
The idea with this advent calendar is to have a nice title page for your Christmas album, and a reusable advent calendar for years to come! If you don't have the red magnetic display frame, you can slip this into a page protector and pin to a cork board and use a dry erase marker or washi tape to mark down the days.

You don't have to use Sangria to make this calendar (I've recently finished another in White Pines and it'd look great in any CTMH paper packet) nor does it have to be an advent calendar. You could easily tweak this to be a perpetual monthly calendar or a birthday party count down, or any other count down you can think of!

Materials used: Sangria paper packet, trimmer, versamat, spritz, scrubber, blocks, 14" ruler, inks (cocoa, pomegranate, eggplant), stampsets (handwritten print, holiday cheer, hand lettered Christmas), gold foil tape, clear sparkles, pink enamel gems, nonstick microtip scissors, colonial white cardstock, Reflections how to book, adhesive.

Up next is the beautiful Denise!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I love Christmas time. My birthday is 2 days before hand so it always feels like everything is getting pretty and special and decorated all month just for me. ;)

My consultant team here in Queensland is doing a 4 week Christmas Craft Challenge in our fb group. I've made a couple different entries and lucky you, you get a sneak peek! PLUS, these are available to make in my workshops or purchase outright! Only the Advent Calendar is unavailable to purchase outright, that's a workshop only project.

Here we go, sneaky peek time!

New elegant Christmas Card designs
 New rustic Christmas Card designs
Advent calendar - note this idea uses last year's Sparkle & Shine paper (discontinued). I'm working on another version using the current Yuletide Carol papers. Keep yer peepers peeled!

So, has the Christmas bug bitten you yet?
