Card Challenge
I follow quite a few different Close To My Heart consultant/artwork/networking groups on facebook. One of them has frequent posts for card challenges. I decided to bite the bullet and jump in on one for a change!
Here's the challenge sketch I worked from.
I didn't really know what I'd make with this sketch. I fiddled with a couple different pieces until I was happy. This is what I came up with! This is a sneaky peek of brand new products coming in December so shhhhh!
All items used are from Close To My Heart: Colonial White bulk cards, Hopscotch paper packet (coming December 1st!), Colonial White cardstock, Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink, Flaxen Exclusive Ink, Glacier Exclusive Ink, Bone Folder, Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors, Versamat™, Surecut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer, Sparkles Clear Assortment, Sequins Gold Assortment, 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive, 2" X 3 1/2" My Acrylix® Block, 3" X 3" My Acrylix® Block, Quatrefoil embossing folder, spritz, scrubber, October stamp of the month (nla), and Sing Glory hostess rewards stampset.
I'll be teaching this during my December Scrap Your Stash sessions. Please note: the Polar Bear stampset is no.longer.available. It was only available for October.. You never know what Stamp of the Month will work with future paper pack releases! Never pass up a Stamp of the Month!
What do you think? A super cute summery Australian Christmas card!

National Scrapbook Day - Details
In case you missed it, yesterday was my repeat National Scrapbook Day event. One lady came and we had a great time. That tends to happen when you have a couple cuppas, beautiful papers, and lots of stamping inspiration! We made 2 pages each in 7 hours and loved it. When you're distracted by another cuppa or a funny story, it makes the day all the more fun. My customer loved the sunburst (I shared the youtube tutorial where I learned the technique), as well as a crash course in scrapbooking and stamping the Close To My Heart way. I enjoyed having someone else to bounce ideas off of and to share what I love doing! I had a yummy dinner planned, which we never got round to as my lady has allergies that I wasn't prepared to cater for. (Oh well, I'll know for next time!)
Wanna see what we got up to? Read on!

National Scrapbook Day
Meet the lovely Esther, my newest customer.
We made two pages today in about 7 hours. (Lots of cups of tea, coffee, laughing, etc.) It's her first introduction to CTMH scrapbooking, stamping, and cropping. She's in love with the trimmer, the versamat, the stamp scrubber and spritz!
I rewarded her with a free workshop pass (as she placed an order this week), and a ruby ink pad (for RSVPing in advance). She was so excited! An ink to start her collection! (I love spoiling my customers!)
When she told her son (6) that she was coming to my house, he got so excited and blurted out ":D you're going to work on my album!?!" (His baby book is a work in progress.)
We made a sunburst page, and a page from Reflections (p 16). We stamped the whisper photo mats with slate, blush, and hollyhock inks. Such a fun day!
Products used today:
Ivy Lane WOTG Scrapbooking kit B&T paper,
Cardstocks: Bamboo, Colonial White, Chocolate, Whisper,

New!
How cute is this little card and package!
I made it last night, using directions from sister consultants. Totally easy and such a unique way to present a beautiful Base & Bling pendant.
The purple base stands up on it's own. The front showcases the beautiful necklace. The back pocket neatly stores the chain. How good is that?!
This simple yet clever card is so quick to put together, plus it's totally customizable! And the best part? When you book into my Jewelry Buffet, you get to make one! Spots are still available.

Ivy Lane part 2
I. love. this. kit.
The colors. The paper patterns. The ease of cutting and assembling. The finished results. Have a look!
This is what the instructions look like.
This is how I interpreted them.
Tada! Note how the instructions state where to put Cricut cut stamped images. Note the lack of Cricut cut stamped images on my layout. You don't *need* to have a Cricut to do these WOTG kits.
This is the second layout mentioned in the instructions. (You'll need the Reflections book for the layout cutting and assembly directions.)
Isn't it lovely? I've not planned which photos I want to use here yet so I've left the stamping and further embellishing for the moment.
After I finished these two layouts, I had a heap of leftover paper scraps and strips. I decided to use them to make the current April bonus challenge layout. I added two sheets of Bamboo cardstock to use for the bases, everything else was leftover from the 2 above layouts.
You really do get a lot out of this kit. 6 12x12 traditional pages so far.
I'm stunned at how much I've still got leftover! A full sheet of White Daisy cardstock, a mostly full sheet of Ivy Lane Green cardstock, varying strips and scraps of the B&T papers. Plenty of scraps left to make some cards. What else can I make from this pile?
I'm thinking some cards are in order. Stay tuned...
