Memories layout

This month got off to a rocky start. My husband's grandmother died very quickly. We had two trips to country Queensland in a week to say our goodbyes and then to farewell her with a beautiful graveside and church services.

My family does crazy pretty well by now. This isn't the first family funeral I've been to! I took pictures to remember the day by and made this layout to feature them. Scrapbooking a funeral might sound a bit morbid to you. To me, it's a family occasion that should be remembered for what it is, saying our earthly goodbyes to our beloved Nanni.

Out of respect for the clan, I've not put the completed layout up to view. Grief is a very private matter and it's not my place to share such moments publicly without permission.

Wedding!

I'm here in Seattle, wedding #1 of 2 is over. Soooooooooooo much fun being a bridesmaid again!

I asked the bride if she was ok with me having my babies represented on my bouquet. She was. I wrapped my Midnight Orange butterfly necklace around my bouquet just above the twine handle. I tried to make sure in each shot that my babies could be seen.

We're here in the US for another 2 weeks. When I get home, I'm going through my entire 8gig SD card of photos and editing them.
