New Storage!

In our August 2022 - July 2023 core catalog, we have a NEW organizer!

I ordered one straight away once they were available for consultant previews. I'm so excited to use mine!

Photo Organizer $62, Item Number: Z5020
1 large, sturdy see-through plastic case with 16 smaller, removable snap-close cases for 4" × 6" photos. Case measures 14¾" × 11¾" × 5".
Yes, there are SIXTEEN clear cases in there. SIXTEEN! They are clear for easy viewing of your goodies.
Each case can fit 100 4x6 printed photos. That's 1,600 photos for the entire organizer. WOW!
The top is beautifully decorated with our logo and swirly flourishes.

Yes, it's meant for photos but we all know there's other things that have to fit in there right? Let's see what I've put in mine! (This purple case is the same size as ours. I didn't have my organizer yet when I took these.)

If you use Square, your tap&go reader, mini headphone jack reader, and the usb charger cable fit.

Papercrafting tool, bonefolder, blue tombow glue, and 10 LePens.

Airtouch runner, nonstick microtip scissors, tombow blue glue, and LePens.

Shimmer brushes fit!

4x6 and 3x4 photos/PML cards/precut papers etc fit.

Blocks fit! 1x3.5 and 4x5. Obviously, distribute your block boxes throughout the organizer for easier carrying.

2x2, 1x1, 1x1.5, 1x3.5, 2x3.5.

3x3, 1x1, 1x3.5.

4 shimmer trim rolls, papercrafting tool, LePens.

Bling packs fit! Several could stack side by side in their packets or on their carrier sheets.

Old style inkpad, M-stamp, and 2x2 block just fits. If you are doing a card project, this is an easy way to keep things contained for transport.

Current style inkpad, M-stamp, and LePen.

And of course, snacks!

That's just the start! Check back tomorrow for more goodies I've packed mine with. Like it love it want it need it? Get yours here. :D

Tip Thursday - Clear Jars

Tip Thursday! I bought some pretty embossing powders while at Ipswich Papercraft Show. I can hear you saying "But you have embossing powders in your shop! Why did you buy elsewhere?!?"

1) I don't have access to these colors in my shop.
2) I saw them on sale and I helped out a fellow exhibitor with a sale.
3) They were $8.50 each or 2/$15.
4) I didn't have to pay for shipping!

Normally, when I use embossing powders, it's a bit of a struggle to get the lids off or to pour back into such a small container. I decided to decant my new embossing powders into our Clear Jars instead. They are wider and shallower, and I find them easier to hold without potentially busting the lids. Et voila, I can now see my powders better and I have more control over pouring them.

These are standard size jars of Ranger embossing powder.

Clear Jars and embossing powder jars.

These colors are so pretty!

The holographic powder decanted into it's new jar.

All four decanted.

These look so appetizing and easier to craft with now.

A lot of people use the jars for storing loose gems, sequins, shaker bits, ribbons, brads, antistatic pouches, wooden buttons, acrylic shapes, snacks, and even packets of diamond dots!

I put all of my powders, my heat tool, and my antistatic pouch into a basket in my trolley. I have a lid for my trolley too.

Et voila! Easy to see, easy to grab, easy to put away when finished.

What bits and bobs in your crafting stash would you put into these jars?

Top 10 Favorites - #6

The new Core and Supplemental Catalogs are here and I have some new favorite items for my crafting stash.

#6 - Paper Envelopes.

What is it?
A clear 12"x12" envelope in the same style as our Stampset Envelopes.

How much is it?
$20 + shipping

What's included in the price?
3 envelopes

What's different about this?
This is not a new product for these catalogs, it is a new product to me! I bit the bullet and bought a pack of these last month as a trial for storage of my papers and kits. Guess what? I'm sold.

My favorite part about it?
The envelope is the same style as our Stampset Envelopes. It has a slit in the main part for the fold over flap to slot into. It holds 12x12 sheets of paper perfectly. No more bent corners! While all of our paper packets come in a ziptop clear bag, these envelopes are sturdier and won't split at the sides when pulling papers out.

What else can I put in it?
What are you taking to your next crop? Put that project in an envelope. Have scraps from 2 different projects from one paper collection? Put those in. Have some memorabilia from a trip that you want to keep tidy until you can scrap them? Booyah. Paintings and drawings and artwork from your kids? Pop em in these too. Need somewhere to put your copy of the 2 current catalogs and keep your wishlist with them? Done. The options are endless!

How long is this available to order?
Unless sold out earlier, this is kit is available to order until August 31, 2020. Add a pack to your next order and tell me how you like them!

Organization

I'm a bit of a messy scrapper. I like to have EVERYTHING out on the table as I work so I can see and grab things as the moment dictates. I'm sure it must bug my husband as our dining table disappears regularly! When I have to clear off and pack away, I love the organization goodies from Close To My Heart.

I was flipping through the Annual Inspirations Book this afternoon and fleshing out my workshop ideas. I got to the Snowhaven Cardmaking Kit page and realized that I didn't think I had all the ink colors necessary. I hopped off my computer, went to my dining table, grabbed my inks and my checklist, and marked off what I had. Now I know that I need to order cranberry instead of a ruby ink. :)
I made up this color chart months ago as an easy visual way to keep track of what I had with inks and cardstock packs. I printed it off as an 8x10 photo and marked off with a sharpie as my ink collection grows.
Pretty easy eh? If you'd like a copy of my color chart, let me know and I'll send one out to you after your first order.
I keep my inks in these towers available in my shop. I have them sorted in ROYGBIV order. As a bonus, the mini stamps also fit in the tower if you've run out of places to put them!
For my blocks, I use the small organizer and My Acrylix™ Blocks Foam Insert. It keeps my blocks easily organized and protected between uses and while in transit. I highly recommend them! It also makes it very easy for me to see which blocks I don't have. I nearly forgot to order one block size!
I store my embellishments, stamp scrubber and spritz, various Picture My Life cards, and extra trimmer blades in a medium organizer. I've got my eye on a large organizer for all my stamps. What's really nice about the organizer boxes is they all stack very nicely and save space on my table.

If you've been um-ing and ah-ing over an easy way to dip your toe into Close to my Heart's range of items, I suggest starting with an ink or two, a block or two, and the small organizer. It's sturdy, lightweight, and easily portable.
