Toolkits
With the start of a new ideas book just around the corner, it is a great time to round up your tools, note what needs replacing or refills, and stock up your stash. Everyone who attends my studio for any workshop must bring their own set of tools.
Why do I require you to bring your own toolkit? It's very difficult to get any significant crafting done when many crafters are all needing to use the same tool at the same time. When everyone has their own tools to use, you can craft at your own pace and enjoy yourself!
I've bundled together the absolute basics that are essential to getting the most out of your time in studio with me. It is much easier (and enjoyable) to complete your projects when you are equipped with the right tools. All tool kits are shipped directly to you for your convenience. They arrive at your door in one box, ready to craft. These kits aren't quite what you need? Contact me to create a kit that suits you!

Basket o Valentines - Tutorial
Alrighty, here's the tutorial for my Basket o Valentines!
You'll need the following materials to make the mini cards and basket:
Originals Card Confidence book, 4 sheets cardstock (similar), 3 sheets 12x12 patterned paper (I used Laughing Lola, NLA), Heart embossing folder, September 2014 SoTM - NLA, Smokey Plum ink, 2x2” My Acrylix block, SureCut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer, Versamat, Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors, Spritz, Scrubber, 3L® E-Z Dots® Adhesive, Bone Folder, Scoring Board, Flaxen twine, Shimmer trim, small boxed candy (like Smarties, I got mine in from Aldi)
Mini Valentines Design based on Originals page 113
To make the cards, cut patterned paper into 2.5" squares. Cut 2 sheets of cardstock into 3.5x5" bases then into 1.5x2.5" rectangles. Emboss rectangles with Heart folder. Score and fold the bases as shown.
Using Versamat, 2x2" block, Sweet Moments image (from SoTM), and Smokey
Plum ink stamp chosen image inside card. Assemble and embellish with
shimmer trim as desired.
Place mini candy
inside and use flaxen twine to tie shut. Trim ends with scissors.
To make the basket:
1) Using bone folder or score board, score remaining cardstock sheet at 3.5" on all sides as shown.
2) Fold all lines in to center, using bone folder to ensure crisp folds.
3) Fold the sides as shown and use adhesive to stick triangle flaps down.
4) If desired, punch 4 holes and use twine to attach a handle. Decorate using scrap pieces of patterned paper. Fill with mini Valentines and hand out.
That's all there is to it! A bit of cutting, a bit of stamping, a bit of embossing, and assembly. I hope you enjoyed making this lil basket o' Valentines! For a pdf of these instructions, contact me and I'll send you a copy.

News
G'day all, how's your winter going?
I've got some news. I'll be out of the studio July 26 until August 16.
Why? I'm heading back home to Seattle soon for a 3 week summer visit! My baby brother is already married, and my other 2 little brothers are now getting married, both in August. I get 2 new sisters, 2 nieces and 2 nephews in the space of 8 days! My family is growing by 6! I'm bridesmaid for one wedding, and big sister/auntie/kid wrangler for the second. I'll be quite busy while I'm away so please don't fret if I don't get back to you right away!
I've got a sneaky selection of shiny new products from the new Annual Inspirations Book - launching August 1st - already on the way. When I return in August, I'm having a *New Product Party* here in my Studio! Keep an eye out for more details. :) In the meantime, I'll be checking my email and facebook page and answering questions from there.
Once August 1st is here, you'll be able to see all the new items on my website. You can then see the new Annual Inspirations Book here and you can order straight away.

Organizing Your Supplies
Now that I've been using and loving the scrapbooking and papercrafting ranges from Close To My Heart, I'm running out of space to store things. I've seen other sister consultants using the various sizes of organizer boxes at events and I've been drooling ove them.
