Times they are a-changin'.

Hello my lovelies!

With the new Annual Inspirations Book almost here, the way I'm running my scrapbooking workshops is changing. Previously I was using the Workshop on the Go kits and I've realized that they are bit intimidating for some of my customers. So... I've decided to change things up!

Starting in September with my Sangria Scrapbooking Workshop, we'll be using the Make It From Your Heart book and scrapping our way through, one paper packet at a time. Scrapbooking needn't be complicated or fussy or hard. Scrapbooking is supposed to be fun!

Each workshop kit has different items included, and all kits make 4 pages (2 layouts) with plenty of paper and goodies leftover to create several more projects. There are 3 kits to choose from: Basic, Better, and Best.
The basic kit is just that, basic. It includes all the papers and instructions needed to do the pages. No stamping or embellishments are included in this kit.
The better kit includes 2 full packs of embellishments to take your page to the next level.
The best kit includes your own copy of Make It From Your Heart, a block and an ink pad for even further customization and embellishment.

Basic - $25 includes: Sangria paper packet, extra cardstock bases, full instructions, nibblies, and workshop fee.
Better - $35 : includes basic kit *plus* Poppy Twine and Gold Sequins.
Best - $60 : includes better kit *plus* Make It From Your Heart, 3x3 Block, and Eggplant ink.

I highly recommend getting the Best kit, it's the best value and you get quite a bit of goodies to further your stash along. From October, you'll need to bring your own copy of Make It From Your Heart to each scrapbooking workshop (as copyright prohibits photocopying).

I'm so excited to get this new change started! Bookings for Sangria Scrapbooking open 12am September 1st and close promptly at 7pm September 8th.

Register your expression of interest now and I'll send you the booking details at 12am September 1st!

Scrap Your Stash #1

Good evening all! I'm launching my new workshop this week

Join me in my studio for my first ever Scrap Your Stash! This Wednesday March 12th.

Two sessions are available. Session 1 is 12:30-2:30pm, Session 2 is 7:30-9:30pm. Cost is $5 cash, payable on arrival.

At the start of each session I'll be teaching a new layout design idea from Close To My Heart's Reflections how-to book. After that it's time to scrap your stash! We've all got a stash of papers, stickers, embellishments, etc that we've been hoarding for "the perfect project". It's time to use what we have! *Consume, don't collect!*

SYS is designed to show a new layout design idea and to incorporate that into your current project, whatever you're working on.

Traditional scrappers, pocket scrapbookers (CTMH and Project Lifers!), digital scrapbookers, all are welcome!

Bring whatever you're currently working on, indulge in a slice of fresh cinnamon apple cake, a cuppa or two, and work on those projects.

Spaces for each session are limited to 5 people. RSVP now on 0449 789 591 or CreatingwKD@outlook.com

For this Wednesday, I'm teaching this layout design.
Like the papers I've used here? They are from the Skylark WOTG kit and Skylark PML kit. You can order them directly from my website!

For SYS 2, March 19th, I'm teaching this layout design.
This layout uses the Sarita Paper Packet and My Stickease. You can order both here. Sarita is a retiring item so once stocks are gone, they're gone.

For SYS 3, March 26th, I'm teaching this layout design.
This layout design uses the Laughing Lola Paper Packet and Chipboard Complements. You can order both here. Laughing Lola is also a retiring item so once stocks are gone, they're gone.

Like the papers and embellishments I've used in these samples? You can order them all and have shipped straight to your door!

I hope to see you here on Wednesday! :D

Soundtrack

I've got a varied taste in music. This is what I'm listening to today as I clean house, bake bread, plan scrapping projects. This is a sampling of typical stuff I listen to on a day to day basis.

Enjoy!

One less bell to answer - glee cast version
Long Train Runnin' - Doobie Brothers
Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Otherside - Third Day featuring Robert Randolph (live version) This is the band my husband and I met through. I <3 my TD guys!
My Obsession (live) - Skillet (Jen Ledger, their drummer, FANTASTIC! Girlfriend's got chops!)
What Would You Say - Dave Matthews Band
Long Time Comin' - Third Day
Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand
Babylon Is Gonna Fall - Newworldson
Bitter Sweet Symphony - The Verve
Wow - Snow Patrol
Rock The Party (Off The Hook) (Remix) - P.O.D. (I've seen P.O.D. twice. Second show better than the first. Even with the getting crushed in a moshpit and having a security guard haul me over the barricade, second show was better.)
Rebirthing - Skillet (When I'm pressed for time and want to get stuff done? I put on Skillet and Demon Hunter. It works.)
Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking - Snow Patrol
Working Man - Newworldson
You Make Me Mad - Third Day (note, this was during Mac's bottle blonde phase)
Cadence - Anberlin
Freak - Silverchair (In grade school I distinctly remember seeing a kid on the playground wearing a frogstomp shirt. I had no idea who or what that was at the time!)
One Thousand Apologies - Demon Hunter
In The Air Tonight - Phil Collins
Wake - Demon Hunter
Means To An End (accoustic) - Demon Hunter (album version) Beautiful guitar work by these guys.
