I've been having quite a bit of fun with White Pines lately! I've made heaps of items from ONE White Pines paper packet. These are some of my favorites!

As Christmas 2015 hasn't happened yet, these 2 layouts are blank. I like having pages done early so all I have to do after Christmas is edit my photos, print, trim, stick them down and add some journaling. I really like the variation in colors that this packet offers. I added in some sheets of Kraft cardstock to balance things out.

With the scraps left from my layouts, I made this Advent Calendar! I'll soon be hanging this up in my living room.

Like most adults, I'm a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG fan of the magical yummy sanity sustaining beverage called COFFEE. I have a favorite reusable tumbler and I like to change up the inside liner periodically. For Christmas, I made this one using Kraft cardstock, a 3"x4" White Pines PML card, a scrap of fussy cut paper, and an array of stickers.

When done, I simply popped the new paper liner inside my cup, screwed it all together and poof!

No more getting my name or drink wrong! :D

Lastly, I've made this pretty little card. I kept the design simple by matching the Glacier ink to the Glacier paper strip, and accented with clusters of embellishments. It's enough dimension to be visually appealing and tactile, while still being flat enough to go in a regular envelope. (Because, postage.)

Packaging, packaging, packaging.

All's quiet on the blogger front lately here but not for long!

I've been in cardmaking over drive lately in getting ready for a market stall on the 23rd. Mum picked up the first batch of cards today.

After she left I packaged up these little puppies. The winter and Christmas pile I made last night. 21 cards. I was up til 3 crafting away as it was too flippin hot to sleep.

All my cards at this point are a mix of old stock (cm) and new stock (ctmh) and priced as marked. Once my old stock runs out, all my cards will be exclusively CTMH products. One of the great things about CTMH is that all their current products blend SO WELL with my stock on hand! :D :D :D *happycrafter*

Card prices range from $2.50-$5.00 depending on the materials and time involved. Most are $2.50-3.50 though, which I think is quite reasonable compared to mass produced cards in shops these days. They all come with an envelope too, even the 4"x4" cards. Kinda silly not to include an envelope... And now, feast your eyes on these beauties. :) Click to embiggen.

Busy bee

I've been a bit busy lately. 5 days straight with my day job, a full on training day with my CTMH Sister Consultants, another day at my day job, and a full on cropping day at my Upline's house yesterday. 8 days straight between two full on jobs means I'm a bit cranky. My poor hubby got the full on wrath of cranky wifey last night as he tried (rather unsuccessfully) for the 2nd time to teach me the game Dominion. Sorry honey! Don't like the game, I don't get it, too many options of moves are too confusing for me to keep up with. Give me my scrapping any day!

Saturday was a full on training day with Chris Lothian at Springwood Bowls Club. I was told we'd have limited table space so to bring limited supplies. I was able to fit everything between my Tom Bihn Large Swift and Large Shop Bags! I absolutely love my Tom Bihn bags and was very surprised that everything I brought fit. I used the Swift (top bag) as my purse and inside was my wallet, my zippered organizer (calendar, notepads, product launch guide, pens), my lunch bag and my water bottle. The shop bag (bottom) held my ArtBin box (I won it in a raffle from an expo years ago) full of WOTG kits, cardstocks, My Acrlyix blocks, scissors etc. I had my stamp sets and pens in other containers tucked neatly inside. The bags were a bit heavy but easily manageable from car to venue and back.

My two orders of Christmas supplies are on their way. I had some light reading to find ideas and inspiration for my Christmas Card Workshop. These books are fabulous!

Monday brought a cardmaking day at my Upline's house. I was making cards using the formula Chris Lothian handed out on Saturday just to see what I could come up with. I was pretty pleased with the results! This is the zip strip from the For Always WOTG kit, a 2x2 My Acrylix block, the rose stamp from For Always WOTG stamp set (which you CAN NOT BUY separately!), Barn Red exclusive dye based ink. These papers are gorgeous! I will be stocking up on these to add to my projects.

This is one of the four resulting cards I made on the day. It's 4x6 in size. The silver shimmer cardstock base is old now irreplaceable cm stock that I bought up big before they went bust. I'm now using it freely in my cardmaking! Onwards and upwards!

Here is the inside, nice and simple.

This sweet little card is made using the rock&roll stamping method Chris taught us. I wasn't happy with this result until I snipped it out and stuck down with some foam tape. Perfect! I'll be teaching this card in a future workshop. Hands up if you want to make it?

After I'd packed up my supplies, I had one of my Sister Consultants take some pictures of me after I had fun #gettinginky!

I had so much fun tweaking and making these cards with my Sister Consultants. Now I've got a few good samples that I know I can duplicate with relative ease and teach in a workshop.

I know it's only October 1st and Christmas is right around the corner. Who would be interested in making a pile of Valentines Day cards using this set of papers? Imagine having a stock pile of cards ready made (with envelopes!) to give and send for next year? Would a monthly cardmaking party featuring different designs/themes/holidays/occasions that resulted in a set number of cards each month be something you're interested in joining? Which designs/themes/holidays/occasions do you typically send cards for in a year? Which would you like to make instead of buying from the shops?

More card fun

With CM I was just venturing into card making. I did a big batch of cards using the materials I had on hand at the time, and I thought they were pretty fabulous.

Enter Close To My Heart and my cardmaking has drastically changed. Enter in the Workshop On The Go kits. Gorgeous collections of doublesided B&T papers, matching solid color cardstocks, exclusive cannot-buy-separately coordinating stamp sets, and embellishments. Not just for creating lovely scrapbook layouts, I've been using WOTG kits to create all the cards you've seen here on my blog. A lot of the layout ideas are my own, some are inspired from ideas in the Originals Card Confidence book.

These are two cards I made last night and today using the Laughing Lola WOTG kit and some pieces from my stash. I'm trying to integrate my (rather sizeable) stash of cm products with my new stash of CTMH products. And guess what? It can be done!

One of my biggest worries when cm was closed down was "What if I just don't like the offerings of this new company (we didn't know the name at the time, just that a plan B was in the works)? How will I scrapbook my memories with products I just don't like?" That worry was unfounded once I got my mits on the small samples I saw in June at a consultant info night. The first range I saw was the Chantilly kit and I. Fell. In. Love. Chantilly blends so well with all my little girl ranges from cm. Laughing Lola blends with just about anything you have on hand.

It is very safe to say that I am one happy convert to Close To My Heart and their range! :D

This one I made using the offcuts left behind after punching out the 3 squares from the card above. Why not use what I have and work with it?

Bright and fun

This is my first piece that was specifically commissioned by a customer. I think it fits the brief pretty well. :) The paisley print paper that I used as the backdrop is double sided. I used a scrap and turned it over before stamping LOVE and a heart on it with Black Exclusive ink. The heart is from the For Always WOTG kit and is the closest thing I had to anything loveydovey related. I'll have to add this to my stash of cards to replicate. The inside has a rectangle of colonial white stuck inside the giver can write to the recipient.
