Scrapping My Stash

As you all know, two weeks ago I became an Australian citizen... and that means I've got pages to do. So far, I'm up to 14 pages. Yes, 14. This is nothing for an event. For my wedding day, I have 2 full 12x12 strap-bound albums, like bursting at the seams full. It's crazy.

For all the layouts, I've used designs found in the Reflections how to book. I've used assorted colors of cardstock for the base of each page, the Sarita range (about 2 paper packs plus lots of scraps from my Sarita WOTG kit, and assorted complements), the Surecut™ Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer, and both bonding memories glue pens (glue and pen). All stamping and journaling are still to come. I wanted to get these pages cut and stuck down first.

Pardon the poor quality pictures, I took these last night just before I went to bed. I'll re-shoot soon.
Finding the venue and our seats.
My group being called up to do our oath.
My group and my official pictures with the Deputy Mayor.
Me and my cheer squad.
A copy of my certificate will go on this right hand page.
All smiles and a few of the other groups doing their oath.
One last pretty picture with my husband, and the after party. Pizza and cake at my inlaws house.
How good does this look?! So simple and so easy. The hardest part was choosing which layouts I wanted to use with which photos! I absolutely love Sarita and it's retiring. Love what I've created here with this gorgeous paper range? You'd better get in quick before Sarita is no more. Available only til July 31st or until sold out.

June Long Weekend - recap

Wow, I'm beat. I've been scrapping all weekend!

Traditional page making, cardmaking for beginners, digital design work (custom wedding suites)... Just a lil of everything. I needed a break and decided to do something off the page.

This is what I came up with!

A new off the page workshop: Cards & Tags! Meet the My Creations™ Journaling Cards Box from Close To My Heart, decorated in Sarita paper and sparkles, then filled with gift tags and greeting cards!
These cards - from Saturday's beginner workshop - fit perfectly inside!
Whatchathink? Interested in making one for yourself or for a gift? Comment below!

This is the rest of my long weekend projects:
Sunday night'schallenge? Use the Free To Be Me paper pack from May to complete a layout.l
Left hand page of challenge layout complete. Time for muffins and a coffee!
Full two page layout, done. Now which photos to use?
Still using May's paper pack, this time mixed with Sarita. Isn't this spread lovely?
Close up shot of my assorted sparkles embellishments.

It's Monday, Queen's Birthday. I'll stock up on groceries in the morning (be a responstable adult) to replenish my pantry, maybe chuck in a load of laundry, then get back to my crafting. I'm feeling the urge to make more mini cards. They're so quick and cute, not to mention easy to whip up!

Beginners Cardmaking

Today was so much fun. Thank you to Esther and her mum Cathy for coming!

We used quite a few products today to make our 3 cards. Two little 3x3 cards and one 4.25x5.5 sunburst card.
Esther's cards on the left, mine on the right.

My 3 cards from today.
The sunburst techniqe is so versatile. I hadn't used Sarita for it until today. I'm quite pleased with our results!

Brand new project

So... yesterday was our monthly Consultant Fun Day in Brisbane. Lots of extra table spaces made for plenty of room to spread out.

I wanted to finish up my haul of Ivy Lane pages (from the WOTG kit) and get started on my National Scrapbook Day II prep. I finished my Ivy Lane pages and a brand new project...

My view for the day, inside The Carson Room, overlooking the Bowls Club greens. A beautiful sunny day, perfect lighting for scrapping!
A hard day at the office! A rainbow tower of Exclusive Inks and a Carmel Iced Coffee... ;)
My cup is in a tray to catch dribbles and drips. Don't drink and crop!

All my odds and ends. Double stick tape, foam sticky dots, assorted ribbons, bakers twines, shimmer trim, scissors, extra blades for my trimmer, glue dots, my stamp scrubber, stamp spritz, liquid glass, baby wipes (you never know when you'll need em!), my range of Picture My Life cards - see here, glitter gems, pens, stamps.
Page 3 of Ivy Lane WOTG kit, part of my Mother's Day pages.
Pages 3 & 4 of Ivy Lane WOTG, laying out which stamps I wanted to use and which ink colors! Glamour Upper & Lowercase alphabets, Swirls Around, I Adore You (nla), Smokey Plum, Desert Sand, Hollyhock.
Hmm... what to choose for lunch?
My usual, chicken parmy!
I finished this page and stuck down the picture. This is one of the pages I'm teaching at NSD II!
This is the other page I'm teaching at NSD II. Have you booked in yet? Spaces are still available!

After dinner, I started on the off the page project we were challenged to make. I was determined to use May's stamp of the month: You’ve Got a Friend.
Products used Ivy Lane B&T paper, Hollyhock and Colonial White cardstocks, Hollyhock ink, May Stamp of the Month, Gold shimmer trim (only available in the Ivy Lane cardmaking kit), glue pen, and a 3x3 MyAcrylix block.
How cute is this repurposed DVD storage case?

Inside is a covered notebook, a pen and pen loop, and a pocket full of little 3x3 thank you notecards. Perfect for keeping your petrol receipts in your glovebox, a grocery list and pen safe in your purse, keeping little ones entertained, or just for doodling. I'm teaching this at my next evening workshop. Keep an eye out for more details!
Products used: Whisper and Colonial White cardstocks, Ivy Lane B&T paper, Gold shimmer trim, Outdoor Denim ink, glue dots, May stamp of the month.
May SotM is only available til the 31st. Make sure you don't miss out! It's a really cute and versatile stampset. Just look how I've used it multiple times in this one off the page project. :)
